There is a theory called "The Peter Theory" which claims that, since the apostle wounded the guard in Gethsemane, every man named Peter is cursed with a physical impairment. Typically, it is the result of an injury incurred later in life, or is congenital and progressive. Fun little conspiracy concept, but somewhat narcissistic. We all suffer, whether our name is Peter or not (Kevan's middle name really is Peter, by the way, named after his dad's first name). We all suffer because we live in a fallen world where pain runs rampant and bad things happen to good and bad people alike. We are all a mess, physically and spiritually, and yet God, for some reason, still wants to use us and does so in unbelievable ways.
